Can you preload MW3 and Warzone Season 5?
For PlayStation users, the preload process opened on July 24th a few hours before the update rolled out. For PC and Xbox users, the process opened on the same day.
How to download MW3 and Warzone Season 5 early
In most cases, the process of preloading the update is automated meaning all players need to do is switch on their PC or consoles to start the download. However, there are times where the preload needs to be started manually.
Depending on platform, follow these steps to trigger the update:
PlayStation
- Highlight the Call of Duty game tile
- Press the Option button on the DualSense/DualShock controller
- Select the Check for Updates option to start the preload
Xbox
- Locate Call of Duty in the game library
- Select the Manage Games and Add-ons option to start the download.
- If this doesn't work, the update may be waiting in the Downloads list. Head there to start it
PC
- Open Battle.net
- Click on Call of Duty on the drop-down menu
- Select Options
- Click on Check for Updates
When is MW3 and Warzone Season 5?
Season 5 for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone launched on July 24th, 2024 at to AM PT / 6 PM BST. Below is a list of time zones when it launches around the world:
- 12 PM CT
- 1 PM ET
- 7 PM CEST
- 5 AM AET (May 2, 2024)
- 3 AM JST (May 2, 2024)
