MNM Gaming have been eliminated from the Six Invitational after a 1-2 loss to Team BDS today. This followed a brutal 7-8, 7-8 loss to Oxygen Esports in the second round of the upper bracket, which saw them fall down to the lower bracket.
The European team came into the tournament with low expectations, but far surpassed them in the group stage by winning all four of their matches with 2-0 scorelines. However, only Wolves Esports from their group remain in the competition, with Dire Wolves and Team Liquid also out.
However, that form did not carry as well into the playoff as they had hoped and they now find themselves at an abrupt end of what was shaping up to be a deep Six Invitational 2023 run.
Team BDS also eliminated their fellow Jönköping Major grand-finalists Team Liquid in their preceding match, pulling out an impressive 2-1 performance to keep their hopes of lifting a second successive trophy.
