KRÜ Blaze have kicked off the team's run at the Valorant Game Changers with a rock-solid performance against the Japanese-majority squad of ZETA DIVISION GC.
The South American lineup defeated the Asian roster in Border (13-9) and Ascent (13-9) to qualify for the Valorant Game Changers quarterfinals, where they will play against the favorites G2 Gozen.
This is already a better start than the one KRÜ Blaze had in last year's edition, where they lost against BBL Queens. Following today's victory, the South American lineup has already secured a Top 8 finish and are now looking forward to matching last year's result: a Top 6 finish.
Meanwhile, ZETA DIVISION GC has been pushed to the Lower Bracket after today's result. Today's match against KRÜ Blaze was the roster's international debut, so the Japanese should welcome any type of experience on a stage.
KRÜ Blaze's next rival will be EMEA's first seed, G2 Gozen. The world champions in 2022 are one of the favorites to take the crown in Berlin, Germany, as they are playing in front of their home crowd. The match between KRÜ Blaze and G2 Gozen will take place tomorrow, November 9, at 3 PM UTC.
