If you are planning to dive into the action of The Finals, you might be wondering if the game has support for crossplay. Even though there are some solo modes, the main game modes in the chaotic shooter are designed for teams of three players.
So if you desire to play the game with your friends but aren't sure if you need to get it on the same platform as them, here are all the answers you need.
Is The Finals crossplay?
Yes, The Finals does support crossplay on all platforms available. In other words, it doesn't matter if you get the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and/or PC, you will always be able to invite and play with your friends regardless of the platform.
The game will ask you to create an Embark ID account before you start playing, as this will be used to enable crossplay across all three platforms.
Does The Finals have cross-progression?
Apart from crossplay, the game also supports cross-progression, thanks to that same Embark ID account system. In other words, if you decide to change the platform you play, you will keep all of your progress on the new one as long as you use the same Embark ID.
How to disable crossplay in The Finals?
You are not required to have crossplay enabled to be able to play the game. If you want to deactivate this function, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Open the Settings menu
- Select the Gameplay tab from the top menu
- Under Network you will find an option to either enable or disable crossplay
