The release of the v30.40 update on LEGO Fortnite saw the introduction of the new feature fast travel. To use this feature, however, you need a bus station.
Bus stations spawn in random locations throughout the map, and your chances of finding it at different locations may vary. On the bright side, you can also build your very own bus station.
Unlocking the Recipe to Build a Bus Station
As with specialized structures in LEGO Fortnite, players must unlock its recipe before they can make it.
In the case of bus stations, their recipe is unlocked when they appear on your map. To do this, you must locate a bus station.
Bus stations have a distinct appearance. Players should keep an eye open for a blue square-like building with an extended base, radiating a blue light from the top.
Once you’re nearby, you’ll also be able to hear a unique audio cue that is specific to bus stations.
Materials Required to Build a Bus Station
These are the materials required to create a Bus Station:
- 4 Iron Bars
- 2 Malachite Slabs
- 6 Frostpines
- 3 Rift Shards
Gathering the Materials Required to Craft a Bus Station
- Iron Bars are located within the caves of the Frostlands. To create an Iron Bar, place Iron Ore and 2 Brightcores in a Metal Smelter.
- Malachite Slabs are present on top of snowy mountains in the Frostlands.
- Frostpines, as the name suggests, are trees, present in the Icy Biome. Chopping them down will provide you with the necessary wood
- Rift Shards are acquired by destroying other Bus Stations.
Rift Shards can be considered the most essential component for building your own Bus Station in LEGO Fortnite, so have them in abundance. To destroy another Bus Station, however, you must use the Epic Pickaxe, an item crafted at an Epic Crafting Station through the following resources:
- 8 Obsidian Slabs
- 5 Frostpine Rods
Building Your Own Bus Station in LEGO Fortnite
Once you’ve collected all the required resources, you can build your very own bus station in LEGO Fortnite. Open the Build Menu and scroll down until you see the Bus Station Blueprint. From there, simply follow the blueprint instructions. Use the markers to build a bus station at your desired location.
Using the Bus Station to Fast Travel
Once you’ve successfully set up your bus station, you can now use it to travel to any location you want. If you’re unaware of how to fast travel in LEGO Fortnite, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Go inside the bus station and interact with it
- Select your destination and hit confirm
This will enter the location you want to travel to. After a short waiting period, you’ll be taken to the Battle Bus.
