Anthony "HOP3Z" Nizardo has confirmed his departure from Oxygen Esports. Despite announcing his decision on August 31, the American hasn't been working with the team since the conclusion of the first stage of the season.
HOP3Z had been part of Oxygen Esports since the Boston-based organization picked up the former Team Reciprocity roster in May 2020. Since then, the American coached the team with no interruption.
As of now, the 34-year-old is looking for a part time coach or analyst position. According to his announcement on his personal X account, he "won't be actively looking." Therefore, this could be the coach's retirement from the competitive scene.
The American's coaching career includes five Six Invitational appearances, with his best result being Oxygen Esports' third-place finish in 2023. It's also worth mentioning that he helped Team Reciprocity to reach the semifinals back in 2019.
Additionally, he also competed in two Six Majors and two DreamHacks, among many regional competitions.
