G2 Esports have already been knocked out from Gamers8 following the team's defeats against M80 and Team Falcons.

Initially, the Six Invitational 2023 champions fell to the North America League roster after losing on Villa and Clubhouse by 4-7 and 5-7, respectively.

Following the world champions' defeat against M80, the Europeans played against Team Falcons. The Saudi Arabian-majority roster had previously lost against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Team Falcons kicked the series off with a 5-1 start on G2 Esports' pick, Kafe Dostoyevsky. With the Europeans all over the place, the MENA roster defeated their opponents by 7-2. From there, it was do-or-die for the world champions.

On Clubhouse, Team Falcons managed to win three of the team's six defenses, one of them being an impressive 1v3 Smoke clutch by Jlad. After switching sides with a 3-3 on the scoreboard, Team Falcons ran over G2 Esports with four back-to-back successful attacks.

It's worth mentioning that this was Luigi "Gemini" Ferrigno's first international appearance for G2 Esports. His debut under the European giants came two weeks ago in the R6 North Rainbow Rumble, where the team failed to move to the final phase of the competition after a 1-2 loss to Heroic.

Despite the disappointing performance, G2 Esports results in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, mean the team will travel back to Europe with $75,000 in their pocket — almost the triple for reaching the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen Top 8.
