The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch is close to release, so fans want to know what’s coming in this massive version 33.00. Epic Games has confirmed plenty of information thus far but more surprises are in store. With dataminers managing to leak what’s coming, there will be plenty of content fans can play through.
Players should know that data leaked from the game might not lead to an official release, at least not right away. There have been times when leaked data came out later than expected. Even with possible delays in mind, Epic has already confirmed Godzilla and Baymax, so there’s not a lot to complain about.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch release date
The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch will come out at some point on November 30/December 1. Version 33.00 will be available to download during a maintenance period that will take place after the final event of the current season.
We can't provide you with a specific time since we don't know how long the Chapter 2 Remix final event will be and how long will the maintenance period be.
What we know about the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch
Demon Slayer event
Leakers have uncovered a Demon Slayer event in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch. While Epic hasn’t revealed this surprise yet, there’s enough evidence to prove that this crossover with the wildly popular anime is happening. No firm release date has been announced but fans should see it quickly since this Season has a big Japanese theme.
Major details on the event haven’t been confirmed but fans can expect to see skins based on characters like Tanjiro. Data on the event also claims that players will form their own squad of Demon Slayers who have to, well, take out demons. It’s easy to assume that any major unlockables will be tied to the event or can be bought outright.
Fast & Furious event?
Leaker Shiina has teased a Fast & Furious event that might be part of this Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch. Rocket Racing has played a big part of the game’s appeal, so adding more cars from an iconic movie will get people talking. It’s not clear if this will be limited to Rocket Racing or if players can unlock Dominic Toreto in the main game.
Patch notes
At the time of writing, no patch notes for the game have been released. With the update coming out soon, Epic should release official details soon. Until that happens, players will have to wait a bit longer to see the balance changes and if any weapons got a buff or nerf.
Chapter 6 skins
Players always want to unlock new skins when playing the game and this Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch has them in spades. We already mentioned Godzilla and Baymax, but leaks from Shiina and HYPEX have confirmed plenty of cool cosmetics. It will take time to see how to unlock these skins, but what’s there looks promising.
With the Japanese theme playing a prominent role, the skins previously teased in a survey might be confirmed. As fans can see, the leaked image from HYPEX shows off some of the costumes that are coming in this patch. Expect more details on how to unlock these skins soon.
Shiina has also teased the possibility of Spider-Verse and Avatar skins coming to the game. It’s not yet known if this will be part of Chapter 6 Season 1 or a much later event. The holidays are coming soon, so they could be part of a major December event that will be happening.
That’s what we know about the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch so far. Users can read about everything else we know about Chapter 6 Season 1 in general. We’ve also written about the Chapter 2 Remix Finale event.
