Former OpTic Gaming and NRG Esports coach Chet "Chet" Singh has been suspended from the VCT circuit until March 2025 for "broadcasting VoDs whose access was contingent on current status as head coach of a VCT team."
According to Valorant's announcement, Chet's access to the content was "unauthorized." He shared the content on July 31, 2024, and, by doing so, he "constituted a breach of proprietary information."
Historically, Chet became one of Valorant's most notable coaches after winning the VCT 2022 Stage 1 Masters Reyjkjavík and finishing second place at the Valorant Champions 2022 with OpTic Gaming. Under NRG Esports, Chet's best results were a second-place finish at the VCT 2023 Americas and a top-four finish at the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo.
The 28-year-old coach is also known for his career in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where he worked for NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, and 100 Thieves.
Following today's announcement, Chet is exploring his options to start a career in Counter-Strike 2. However, he hasn't ruled out coming back to Valorant after the conclusion of his suspension. In the meantime, Chet said he will be streaming.
