Although Marvel Rivals is set to be the new competitor in town for hero shooters, Valve (CS2, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2) is also preparing a new 6v6 style shooter game called Deadlock. A few images leaked last week and now, a full gameplay has appeared online.
The gameplay was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by PlayerIGN, a very well-known leaker of shooter titles like PUBG or Valorant. It shows us a tank-like hero exploring one of the maps using a handrail and after that, we can see the hero selection menu.
The game is a third-person shooter, similar to Rivals, and PlayerIGN says the developers are currently testing it in a closed beta.
"This is meant to be Valve’s next major competitive game, the next Counter-Strike, the next Dota" expressed Tyler McVicker, a Valve's game enthusiast, in his recent YouTube video. "It’s hero-based, it’s class-based, it’s very personality-driven."
McVicker also claims that the game has been in development since 2018 and it features Tower Defense mechanics.
In case you haven't seen it, here is the leaked gameplay:
