Destiny 2 has different methods of empowering players and learning how to create Orbs of Power is one of the most important ones in Bungie's looter shooter.

Orbs of Power have gone through multiple iterations in the past, but their importance remains the same. Previously named Orbs of Light, players had to equipo unique modes to consistently create them. Now, while mods still exist to help with this, there are more consistent methods of getting them.

With that said, let's take a look at how to create Orbs of Power in Destiny 2. While you're here consider checking out how to fix the "add kindling" bug during the Solstice event.

How to make Orbs of Power in Destiny 2

The most effective method of creating Orbs of Power in Destiny 2 is by equipping the right armor mods. Casting and getting kills with your Super is another effective way of getting them.

Armor mods are the best way to generate Orbs of Power

Armor mods

Your helmet and gauntlets will let you equip mods to help you generate Orbs of Power. For your helmet, you can find the following:

  • Harmonic Siphon
  • Kinetic Siphon
  • Arc Siphon
  • Solar Siphon
  • Stasis Siphon
  • Strand Siphon
  • Void Siphon

The names are all self-explanatory with Harmonic being a unique mod that adapts to whatever subclass you have equipped. If you're running Prismatic, it will adapt to the Super you've selected.

Simply select a mod and get rapid kills with the type of damage you selected to start generating Orbs of Power. You can stack multiple copies of a mod to increase the potency of the Orb, but you won't create Orbs faster.

On top of that, the gauntlet armor piece also has mods that will help you generate Orbs of Power:

  • Firepower: Grenade final blows create Orbs of Power
  • Heavy Handed: Powered melee final blows create Orbs of Power

Finally, the Class Item also has one more mod that will help you generate Orbs faster:

  • Reaper: Shortly after using your class ability, your next weapon final blow spawns an Orb of Power

Casting Supers

The other method is by casting your Super. It has to be a damaging Super, so Warlock's Well of Radiance won't be able to generate any Orbs.

Of course, trying to bank on your Super alone will make the grind to create Orbs of Power a complete chore so we recommend you stick to equipping the mods mentioned above.

What do Orbs of Power do in Destiny 2?

Orbs of Power have a ton of uses in Destiny 2. The main one is that it will let you earn Super energy faster. On top of that by equipping certain mods they can allow you to heal faster, generate ability energy, and other helpful uses.
