The first event for the mobile game has been announced

feature image

Operation: Day Zero will be the first event available on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This event will be exclusive to the mobile title and Activision has detailed its content ahead of the game's global release.

Release date

Operation: Day Zero is set to begin on Friday, March 22, a day after the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and after the global rollout is completed. Even though a release time wasn't revealed on the official blog post, we believe the event will start at around 10:00 am PT.

It is unknown how long this event will remain active, but a countdown will probably appear in-game once it starts.

Trailer

Here is the trailer for Operation: Day Zero that gives us a look at some of the rewards we'll be able to unlock:

How does it work?

The event will introduce six special zones, with five located within Verdansk and a sixth one encompassing the whole Rebirth Island map.

Players will be tasked to do certain challenges inside these zones and by doing so, they will earn Event Points (EP). These points will help you get individual rewards and also track towards completing the community challenges.

Each zone will require a set amount of EP from the community and once it's cleared, a reward will be delivered to every player no matter how much they contributed.

How to earn Event Points?

In short, players can earn Event Points by playing any game mode and completing actions in the zones mentioned before. The amount of points earned will depend on the action executed inside the designated areas.

Here's the full list of actions that will get you EP during the event:

  • Opening a Supply Box or Day Zero Supply Drop.
  • Eliminating an enemy player.
  • Completing a Contract.
  • Using a Killstreak.
  • Landing a headshot.
  • Purchasing items from Buy Stations.

If you get items and/or gear from a Day Zero Supply Drop, you'll be able to earn EP points more quickly. These special drops appear periodically and are marked by the light blue crate icon as you can see in the image below.

Another way to acquire EP is by getting kills during the warm-up lobbies before every game, although the amount will be considerably lower.
