Chiefs ESC have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal after a 2-1 victory over Gaimin Gladiators.

The golden roster began the series with a 7-3 victory on Kafe Dostoyevsky, the team's pick. However, Cheifs returned the hit with a rock-solid 7-4 victory on Chalet after winning five of their six attacks. The blue roster closed out the series with a 7-4 win on Bank after five consecutive attacking rounds.

Chiefs ESC's roster included two former teammates of Gaimin Gladiators' current squad in Jack "Jigsaw" Gillies and Anastasios "Odah" Hatzis. All the eyes were put on the latter one, as the Australian parted was the only player to not be picked up by Gaimin Gladiators following the conclusion of the Esports World Cup.

Following today's result, Chiefs ESC have qualified for an international Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege competition for the first time since the Six Charlotte Major 2022, which was played in May 2022. The Australians' return also means that the former Fnatic player Tex "Tex" Thompson will play at an international event for the first time since the Six Invitational 2020.

Moreover, Chiefs ESC still has a shot at qualifying for the Six Invitational 2025 through the Global Standings. With 145 SI Points, the Australians need to finish among Montreal's best eight teams to qualify for the event that will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Meanwhile, this result also means that Gaimin Gladiators will finish the season with 300 SI Points. As of now, there's a triple draw between them, PSG Talon, and Bleed Esports on the Global Standings that could end badly for a couple of the teams in the equation. Only time will tell.
