Citadelle des Morts, the third Black Ops 6 Zombies map, features four elemental Incantations. These are special powers, similar to the ones that the swords have, that players can use to eliminate large crowds of zombies swiftly.
We have prepared a guide explaining how to get each Incantation to help you in your matches or to help you complete the map's main easter egg.
How to get the four Incantations in Citadelle des Morts
Before you start the steps to get all four Incantations, there are two things you need to do: unlock the Pack-a-Punch and talk to Krafft on his cell.
In case you don't know, Kraft's cell is located in the Dungeon, the same area where the Quick Revive perk machine is. Just enter the room behind the Quick Revive and interact with the wooden door.
Know that you first need to unlock the Pack-a-Punch to be able to talk to Krafft, otherwise the cutscene won't get triggered when you interact with the door.
You will also need to have the elemental swords to be able to use the Incantations, but they are not required to do the steps to unlock each one.
For each Incantation, you will need to get an object and then charge it by placing it in a specific place and killing zombies close to it. Having said that here is how to get each one:
Electric Incantation
This is the easiest Incantation to do and you will first have to pick a horse collar that's in the stable behind the Deadshot Daiquiri perk machine.
Inside, on top of one of the exit door frames, you will see a horseshoe attached to the wall. Shoot it with any bullet gun to make it fall to the ground and then pick it up.
With the shoe in your possession, go to the cannon on top of the castle's rampart and use it to launch yourself to Town Square, the spawn area.
While in the air, you will see some electrical VFX in your HUD, indicating that this step has been completed.
After you land, a dark cloud will form in the sky somewhere close to the spawn area. Just look around and you will be able to see it.
The horseshoe will be underneath this cloud on the ground, charged and ready for the last step. A bunch of zombies will spawn when you get close so eliminate them first and then grab the item.
For the last step, head back to Town Square and you will see a yellow circle on the ground with the stag symbol, close to the left-side gate. Interact with it to place the charged horseshoe.
After that, zombies will start to spawn from the ground indefinitely. To complete this ritual, just kill zombies while staying in the area. After doing enough eliminations, all the enemies will die and a golden box with the Incantation will be able.
You need to melee this box with the stag sword to open it and get the Incantation.
Dark Incantation
For the Dark Incantation, make sure you have a bullet weapon that you feel comfortable using at long range. Once you have that, go to the Pack-a-Punch area, the Oubliette Room.
Get your gun ready and use the Cave Slide fast-travel method to go to Town Square, the spawn area. Before you come out of the slide, you have to shoot a crow that is sitting on the rock indicated in the following image:
If you miss the crow, you can go back to the Oubliette Room and try it as many times as you need. After shooting it, the crow will fly away and you will see it when you come out of the slide.
Quickly after coming out, shoot the crow. This can be difficult without a long-range weapon since the crow will fly high and its hitbox is not that large (don't use a pistol like us).
The crow will fly around the exterior parts of the map until you shoot it down, so you have plenty of time to do it. Once you hit it, the Raven's Talon item will drop down to the ground.
Pick it up and now go to the Undercroft, the underground area right next to the Oublietter Room where the Pack-a-Punch is. You will find the spot to place the talon and start the ritual, just like the one you did for the Electrical Incantation.
When completed, the gold chest will appear and you will need to melee it with the Raven sword to open it and acquire the Incantation.
Fire Incantation
For the Fire Incantation, you must first set off three bonfires. To do this, we recommend you craft some Molotov Grenades on a crafting table for 350 Salvage points. You can also use the Dragon Sword's special attack for this, but it will take time to charge it.
After you got three grenades, go to the Castle's Rampart. Here are the bonfires you need to hit with the Molotov (or with any other fire-based attack) from there:
The third bonfire is at the top of the mountain just behind the Speed Cola perk machine as you can see in the image below:
After setting off each bonfire, zombies will spawn out of fireballs shot out of it. This is your signal that you did the step correctly.
Once you set off all three bonfires, a Doppelghast will spawn and attack you. After eliminating it, the special zombie will drop the Ra's Ankh gold item.
Pick it up and the spot to start the Incantation's ritual will be in the castle's Courtyard, close to The Arsenal machine and the stairs that lead to the village.
After eliminating enough zombies, the golden chest will appear and you will need to melee it with the Dragon Sword to open it and equip the Incantation.
Light Incantation
For the Light Incantation, you will need to go to the Dining Hall, the room where the knight statues with the swords are. The first step is to shoot red crystals distributed along this room to redirect a beam of light until it reaches a little sculpture on a table in the Alchemy Room.
This step is pretty simple since you only need to shoot each crystal until you see the beam connecting to the next one. Here are the crystals in order:
Once the beam reaches the sculpture, it will melt away and reveal the Paladin's Brooch golden item.
Pick it up and the circle to start the ritual will be back in the Dining Hall, right next to the ammo box and the knight statue for the Stag Sword (electric sword).
Same deal as before and once you finish the ritual, the golden chest will spawn at the same place. You have to melee it with the Lion Sword to open it and acquire the Incantation.
