Battlefield 6 is coming, and anticipation is high for the next entry in the shooter franchise after a few years without a new title. Given that many EA games are offered on Xbox Game Pass, it's only natural that many will wonder if Battlefield 6 is also gonna be added to the subscription service.
Now that release details have been confirmed, we finally know if the subscribers will get to enjoy the game for free or if they will have to buy it separately.
Will Battlefield 6 be on Xbox Game Pass?
At launch, Battlefield 6 won't be available through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. In other words, players will have to purchase the title to be able to enjoy it.
Historically, EA hasn't included its latest releases on these platforms until after six months. However, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers may receive a 10-hour early trial on EA Play, either on or just before the official launch. This limited trial will allow players to experience the game before purchasing it or investing in an EA Play Pro membership.
All EA Play Pro members will receive access to the Phantom edition of the game, meaning they won't have to pay anything else to play on launch.
We could see the game added in the future to the Xbox Game Pass membership, since the subscription usually receives any new games added to the standard EA Play membership. But this could happen only several months after launch.
