Season 23 of Apex Legends arrives this month and will be the last season of 2024. A few teasers and leaks have already come out, revealing hints of what's coming to the game.

Release date
According to the battle pass countdown, Apex Legends Season 23 is set to begin on Tuesday, October 29. The update will be available to install at 10:00 am PT (6:00 pm BST).
Players will be able to preload the update a few days or hours before the season starts, giving them the chance to play immediately.
Lifeline Reborn
Instead of adding a new legend, Season 23 will bring a rework to one of the original characters: Lifeline. Just like what happened with Revenant back in Season 18, Lifeline Reborn will feature new abilities to coincide with the game's current state.
Here are the new abilities for the support character along with a description leaked by the leaker KralRindo:
- Combat Revive (Passive): Same current passive + she can glide in the air for 1.5 seconds by holding on to her doc drone, time can be extended with evo.
- D.O.C heal drone (Tactical): It's the same current tactical but it can follow you and your teammates, you can command doc and it has physics just like in season 3.
- Shockbot 3000 (Ultimate): Place a destructible bot that forcefully ejects enemies from the area Bot can be destroyed, bullets can pass through but enemies can't get inside.
- Support class passive: Throw healing items as grenades to heal other players (This is for all support legends).
The support class passive listed in her abilities will reportedly be a new addition to the role, meaning all support characters will have it.
Other details
Here are other details leaked or rumored about the next season that are worth mentioning:
- Map changes are coming to Olympus according to leaker Yorotsuki_ on X. The account posted an image of the map and an explosion, indicating some areas might get destroyed.
- The same leaker also stated that legends will get bonuses, like faster reload or ADS speed, when using certain weapons.
- Alter will get a Prestige skin during this season.
- The winter/holiday event is returning along with the Winter Express. Leaker RitzKing_ teased on X that the train will have a new twist, which remains unknown at the moment.
- The Gaming Merchant, an Apex Legends content creator, had a chance to talk to the devs and confirmed the Akimbo Mozambique will receive a nerf this season.
