Apeks have won the VCT Ascension EMEA 2024 after defeating the Turkish side of PCIFIC Esports in the grand final. With this result, Apeks have qualified for the VCT 2025 EMEA League.
The result comes one year and two months after Apeks' defeat at the VCT Ascension EMEA 2023 grand finals. Back then, the Europeans lost against Gentle Mates after the Frenchmen won the three maps of the series. Eventually, the five Apeks players moved to the VCT 2024 EMEA League after signing for different teams.
Apeks' current Valorant roster was picked up in December 2023 and includes four former top-flight players in Auni "AvovA" Chahade, Tautyvadas "hype" Paldavicius, Michał "MOLSI" Łącki, and Dom "soulcas" Sulcas. Instantly, the European roster became one of the favorites to qualify for the VCT Ascension EMEA 2024.
After winning both Valorant Challengers 2024 Northern Europe splits, Apeks dominated the playoffs, where they didn't drop a single map. With the team's first seed, Apeks qualified for this year's Ascension.
While Apeks didn't dominate the group stage, the European roster took Group A's first seed despite the team's initial defeat against GoNext Esports. Eventually, back-to-back 2-0 victories against The Ultimates and CGN Esports saw them reach the grand final, where they would play against PCIFIC Esports.
After the Turkish side put Apeks between a rock and a hard place after reaching map point, Apeks prevailed after a 13-11 win on Lotus in the fourth map of the series. Finally, Apeks' 13-4 win on Ascent meant the organization earned the right to compete at the VCT 2025 EMEA League.
