XDefiant, the new first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft, has had a difficult road to its full release. Even though a few betas took place last year, the studio hasn't provided a release date because of various reasons that have delayed its development. Whether it's fixing a problem in-game, meeting specific requirements, or even getting the necessary approvals.
However, Ubisoft has a new release window for the game, meaning that its development is finally starting to wrap up.
New release window
During their most recent investor meeting, where they share all about the earnings of the company in the last quarter and future projects, Ubisoft stated that XDefiant is currently scheduled to be released before March 31, 2024.
That is when the current fiscal year ends, so the company wants to ideally release its anticipated shooter before that. A more specific release date wasn't announced simply because this could change if things don't go as planned, so bear in mind that another delay might happen.
However, if they feel confident enough to say that the game is coming within this window, it means that the development is going well and the studio is not far from announcing an official release date for the game.
Only time will tell if this comes to be true or if the game is destined for another delay, but as soon as we hear something, we will post about it on the site to let you know all the details.
