Game 1: Rogue 2 - 6 Evil Geniuses

EG: Canadian, Yung, nvK, BC and Necrox

Historically the two best teams in NA face off for the first time this season. EG started the ban phase with Ying, Rogue followed it up with Dokkabei and Mira and EG finished things up with Maestro.

This is Evil Geniuses 3rd win this season as well as Rogue’s 2nd loss. EG sums 11 points after 6 games while Rogue remains at 10.

Evil Geniuses has a 30-3 rounds record in their last 33 rounds. (6 straight after being down 4-0 in Oregon vs Obey, 6-1 in Clubhouse vs Obey, 6-0 in Clubhouse vs Motiv8, 6-0 in Consulate vs Motiv8 and 6-2 in Oregon vs Rogue)

SSG: Chala, Redeemer, Thinkingnade, Rampy and Shuttle

Both these teams find themselves tied in the Standings with 7 points going into the game. SSG banned Echo and Ying, while Noble banned Lion and Valkyrie. Both teams would take 4 rounds in a row, to tie 4-4 but would end up trading the last 2 rounds and take 1 point each. SSG and Noble remain tied but now with 8 points each. This is the 2nd tie for both teams in 6 playdays.

C9: Goddess, Laxing, Retro, Shlongii and FoxA

Mouz comes into the game with 3 ties in a row while C9 shows up with 2 0-6’s in a row and 1 tie. The bans would be no surprise with Cloud9 banning Ying and Valkyrie and Mouz banning Maestro and Blackbeard. This is Cloud9’s first win of the season which ties them with Obey at 5 points each before Obey plays vs SK. This is Mousesports’ second loss of the season and they’ll remain on the 6th spot awaiting the result of the SK vs Obey match-up.

SK: Mint, Pojoman, Hotancold, Jarvis and Nyx

Obey: Bosco, Skys, MahMan, Adam and Benji

SK arrives to this match-up with possibilities of taking the first place of the standings, on the other hand, Obey is trying to leave the bottom of the table, where they are tied in the last place with Cloud9 at 5 points. SK starts the ban phase removing Glaz and Echo to which Obey bans Ying and Valkyrie. This is the first time this season in which SK doesn’t ban a hard breacher (Thermite or Hibana). SK now leads North America with 1 playday remaining before the Paris Major. Obey will remain tied in the last place with Cloud9.
