Rainbow Six Siege has released two versions of the Year Pass for Year 7, the "Year Pass" and the "Premium Year Pass." Although both versions will eventually unlock the four Year 7 operators, the premium pass includes many features that the standard pass doesn't.
What's a Rainbow Six Siege Year Pass?
Plain and simple, the Year Pass is a feature in Siege that eventually unlocks the operators released during the year. This is not the only thing the Year Pass has to offer, as you also obtain alpha packs and exclusive rewards.
As we previously mentioned, there's a difference between the "Year Pass" and the "Premium Year Pass." Let's see what they have in store this year.
Year Pass
This is the standard edition, it costs € 24.99 and you can find it in the Ubisoft Store. The Year Pass includes the following:
- Every Year 7 Battle Pass
- 14-day early access to Year 7 operators
- 30% bonus Battle Points
- Ash Chilled Bundle
Premium Year Pass
This is the premium edition. It costs €59.99 and you can find it in the Ubisoft Store. The Premium Year Pass includes the following:
- Every Year 7 Battle Pass
- 14-day early access to Year 7 operators
- 30% bonus Battle Points
- Ash Chilled Bundle
- First 20 tiers on each Battle Pass automatically unlocked
- Exclusive Exotic Skin for the MPX
- Exclusive Valkyrie Byte Set
Both passes can be purchased between Feb. 21 to March 8.

It depends on what your needs are.
If you are not a regular Siege player, these possibly aren't for you. Keep playing, grinding, and maybe you will be interested enough to buy next year's pass — if there's one, of course.
If you enjoy having the newest operators before anyone else but you don't care about the Battle Pass or exclusive skins, the Year Pass is your option. This will eventually give you any new Siege operator with 14-day early access, plus you will be able to play to get as many rewards from the Battle Pass as possible.
Keep in mind that each new operator costs 600 R6 Credits, which means that you will eventually spend 2,400 R6 Credits. That's more than 20 euros, so considering that for almost the same price you will unlock any Battle Pass, purchasing the Year Pass might be a good idea.
If you are a try-hard who wants every skin and operator, the Premium Year Pass is your best option. Remember, all those items are exclusive and you won't have the chance to get your hands on them in the future.
