These are the American Rainbow Six Siege operators in the roster.

Rainbow Six Siege has a huge cast of operators that all have a very detailed, intense backstory that explains their unique set of skills and in-game roles. The operators come from all over the world, with a handful coming from the United States. 

Here are the operators from the United States, ranging in playstyle and origin story.

Zero

Samuel Leo "Zero" Fisher is a bit of the mystery thanks to the CIA making sure the public doesn't know a lot about his past. But we know that Zero was born in Baltimore, Maryland and then raised by his grandmother. He enrolled in a Military Boarding School and then moved on to the United States Naval Academy, majoring in political science. 

Zero served in the Persian Gulf, Bolivia, Columbia, Senegal, and Kosova, making a name for himself by completing missions at any cost. He was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal. From there he was recruited into the CIA. 

But the CIA has not revealed anything Zero has done since that moment.

Zero is all about gathering intel. His Argus Launcher has special cameras that lodge themselves into surfaces to expertly surveil either side. Argus Cameras also have a single laser shot, helping to disrupt the defenders' setup or distract enemy operators. 

Warden

Collinn "Warden" McKinley, a Kentucky native, joined the Marine Corps at 18, quickly making a name for himself for his aggressive and quick thinking. Despite some minor infractions, Warden achieved Master Sergeant. But he left the Marines after his third tour to become part of the Secret Service. 

Warden's agility saved Secretary of State Baldwin's life when the US diplomatic was attacked. When Baldwin became the US President, they requested that Warden be assigned to the Presidential Protective Division. he spent over 10 years in Washington DC protecting political figures.

Warden's Glance allows the operator to see through smoke. His Smart Glasses prevent him from being blinded by flash effects. Warden is focused on gathering intel in tough situations, helping his team stay one step ahead of the enemy. 

Maverick

Boston native Erik "Maverick" Thorn is very, very smaht. After high school, Maverick enlisted with the US Army, rising up the ranks quite quickly. He became an Intelligence Officer serving in Kabul. 

He was invited into the Unit as a regional specialist, gathering intel in the country while building networks of allies and safe houses. Maverick kept close tabs on Americans in Kabul, rescuing them whenever needed and helping locals escape violence. 

Maverick lost contact with the Unit for two years but he came back with enough intel to dismantle a major insurgency operation. There are still many questions surrounding his disappearance.

Maverick has a blowtorch that can breach any surface — including reinforced walls and hatches. This makeshift blowtorch takes a lot of precision and runs out of fuel quickly. You'll need a lot of map knowledge to ensure you create small holes in effective spots. 

Castle

Miles "Castle" Campbell graduated from Cal State LA with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He joined the LAPD soon after graduation and was recruited into the LAPD SWAT. There, he excelled in tactical support in high-risk situations. Castle quickly became a captain. 

Castle is focused on defense and reinforcement techniques — and the technology involved in these things. He was transferred to the FBI as a field agent where he trained with the German Federal Police. Castle soon found himself as part of the FBI SWAT team.

Castle is all about securing areas by creating defensive strongholds around the objective. Castle creates reinforced barricades using the UTP1-Universal Tactical Panel, controlling how attackers move around the map. 

Pulse

Jack "Pulse" Estrada was born on the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and was then raised on bases crossed the United States as well as internationally. Pulse's father was a pilot and his mother was a classified senior intelligence officer. 

Early on, Pulse excelled in science and was enrolled in an advanced curriculum. He started focusing on forensic science and biochemistry. He joined the FBI's biometrics program as their youngest intern and then joined their hostage rescue team due to his high emotional intelligence. Pulse excels at crisis management and negotiation tactics.

Pulse gathers intel for the defending team, using his HB-5 Cardiac Sensor to track attackers through surfaces. Pulse is all about gathering valuable information for his team, roaming around the map to stay one step ahead of the enemy. 

Thermite

Jordan "Thermite" Trace joined the Corps straight out of high school, making him a fourth-generation Marine. The Texan volunteered as an explosive ordinance disposal technician after his first tour of Iraq. After the second tour, Thermite returned to the United States and earned a BS in chemistry. 

Thermite later joined the FBI, spending a number of years as a field agent within the Hazardous Materials Response Unit. He then transferred into the FBI SWAT, excelling at the development of barricade protocols.
