When you think of Team Liquid, you likely think of André "NESKWGA" Oliveira or Luccas "Paluh" Molina.

Rightfully so: the duo are two of the best individuals to have ever touched Rainbow Six Siege, and are long overdue for an international tier-one victory.

However, there's a pair of youngsters that are relatively brand-new to Liquid's lineup this year, and they were instrumental in Liquid's 2-0 demolition of FaZe Clan in the upper bracket quarter-finals of the Six Invitational 2022: Pablo "resetz" Oliveira and Gabriel "AsK" Santos.

"For real, like...they don't feel nothing," Paluh said when asked how AsK and resetz are handling the pressures of the Six Invitational playoffs. "They are just playing what they play. It doesn't matter if it's Six Invitational. They are just playing their Siege."

The stakes of the tournament at hand don't seem to bother the pair of young players. Against FaZe, AsK dropped a monster 1.30 SiegeGG Rating, 23 kills, a 5-1 Entry ratio, all while mainly playing Thermite and Smoke. Resetz's stats were more pedestrian, but he still pulled his weight and was one kill off drawing even in kill to death differential.

Liquid allowed several rounds there towards the end of the second map, but both maps were decidedly theirs. They dropped a 7-2 victory on Clubhouse, FaZe's map pick, and then raced out to a commanding 5-2 lead before FaZe Clan began to sincerely fight back. By the time FaZe got their bearings, it was far too late.

If Liquid continue at this pace, they might not drop a single map until the SI grand finals. They were already one of the favorites to win the tournament, and with every passing map it's beginning to seem more inevitable that they'll lift the hammer.

Their strength is in their combination of youth and experience. As long as AsK and resetz continue to not flinch, Liquid are going to be a force to reckon with as the tournament wears on.

Team Liquid's next bout will come against the victor of the FURIA/TSM FTX match on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
