SI 2022 Playoff first round matchups between second and third seeds revealed

The format for this year's Six Invitational added a neat little twist: in a specific order, the second-seeded teams would get to pick the third-seeded teams for the first round of the playoffs.

Teams could not pick the third seed from their groups.

The first to pick could choose between three, the second between two, but the third and fourth aren't left with too much choice.

From the Six Invitational Event Guide published by Ubisoft:

The playoff matches are as follows:

• Spacestation Gaming vs NAVI
• FaZe Clan vs Oxygen Esports
• NiP vs TSM FTX
• Elevate vs Soniqs

The first seeds in the group stage await the victors of the first match, while the fourth seeds await the losers. The fourth seeds were immediately placed in the lower bracket, while the first seeds get a bye in the first round.
