Winners and Losers of the day

Winner: UK teams: NAVI finally got on the board with a 2-0 win over MiBR, and MNM Gaming whipped a strong Team Empire roster. Every UK-majority team won today, and MNM continued their stellar run – they’re a mere point behind NiP in their group.

Winner: Elevate: Elevate were the biggest unknown in a group that featured several known quantities. They’ve come out and proved everyone that doubted them (including this reporter) completely and totally wrong. They're out of groups. What a monstrous performance over the past week they've had.

Loser: BDS: It has to be said: Despite the difficult circumstances, it’s difficult to not put BDS in this column.

They didn’t have Adrien "RaFaLe" Rutik for two matches, sure. But this is one of Europe’s strongest teams. Most thought they could at least squeeze out a best-of-three, even when hobbled.

It may not be entirely their fault, but going out in groups has to be a disappointment. Full stop.

Loser: Oxygen: OXG choked today. They’d tell you that they choked too. It’s the second best-of-three that they’ve choked at this event. The expectations for Oxygen are high, and they haven’t met them yet. They’re likely to make it through to the playoffs, but still – if they don’t find a way to win the last thirty seconds of these close rounds, they might be out earlier than they want.

Stat of the day

Paluh passes 500 kills in just three tier one LAN events

Luccas “Paluh” Molina is, once again, having one of the best tournaments of any Siege player in the history of the esport. He’s one of three players that are currently over 100 total kills in the event, and has passed 500 kills over SI 2021, the Mexico Major, and SI 2022. This performance might never be equaled.

Day five game to watch

Oxygen vs. MiBR

These two teams control their own destiny, for the most part. For both of them, a loss means likely expulsion from the Six Invitational. With the controlling of the destiny aspect, this is bound to be the most intense game of the day.
