According to a promotional video for the new Test Server Lab, Rainbow Six Siege is finally getting a team deathmatch adjacent mode.
The mode will feature five vs. five gameplay, with any operator you want on any side, and without limitations on the number of times you can pick that operator. Put simply, if you want two Rooks and three Ashes, go for it — it's possible.
The new function will be a permanent addition as well, not an event.
Rainbow Six Siege fans celebrate Test Server Lab
Hardcore Rainbow Six Siege fans have been clamoring for an effective way to warm up before jumping into ranked playlists. Most used the "Terrorist Hunt" function but found that the AI didn't move the way a real player did. The mode was deemed not good enough for a real warmup.
This new mode will give hardcore players a place to warm up, casual fans a way to get the Siege experience without needing to load into a "sweaty" match, and those who are looking to learn operators a place to get used to their guns without having to wait up to five minutes in between engagements.
There will be no gadgets in this game mode, only a limited amount of secondary gadgets: Flash grenades, frag grenades, and impact grenades. The match will last for five minutes and give players infinite respawns. First to the max amount of kills or whoever has the most kills when the timer runs out wins.
