DarkZero coach BC will be returning to a playing role after a year and a half following the retirement of Skys and Mint switching to a coaching role.

Following the announcement that the DarkZero player of Kyle "Mint" Lander has retired from playing competitively and will take up a coaching role within the team, DarkZero has announced that the current coach of Brandon "BC" Carr will take up his spot in the roster in what is effectively a swap of roles.

This, therefore, means BC will once again play for DarkZero after stepping back from the action as of November 2019.

BC has been a prominent player in North America way back since Season 1, but really attracted international attention when he joined the Continuum roster (later known as Evil Geniuses) in Season 5.

With this team, he attended the Season 6 and 7 Pro League Finals, the 2018 Six Invitational, and the Paris Major, peaking with runners-up positions in the latter two events before leaving to coach the newly acquired DarkZero Esports lineup.

A few months after making this move, BC returned to playing to replace Owen "Pojoman" Mitura as a player but returned to his staff role nine months later as Tyler "Ecl9pse" McMullin joined to replace him.

During this time period, DarkZero attended two Six Invitationals, two Pro League Finals (finishing as runners-up in Season 10), the Raleigh Major, and finished second at the NAL 2020 Finals.

Now, following their joint-13th exit from the 2021 Six Invitational and the retirement of both Skys and Mint, BC has once again stepped back into the limelight to take up Mint's player position.

He will therefore debut once again in this role against Mirage on June 15th, with the following roster confirmed so far:

Paul "Hyper" Kontopanagiotis Tyler "Ecl9pse" McMullin Nick "njr" Rapier Brandon "BC" Carr Kyle "Mint" Lander (coach) Grant "Grant" Tripple (analyst)
