With Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone starting soon, Activision has revealed all the details about the new content. This will be a dry start to the season for the battle royale title, especially because it was announced that the developers are focusing on bringing gameplay updates and quality-of-life additions to improve the game's overall quality.
However, we have prepared an article with all the information about the small additions coming at the start of Season 2.
Release date
Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to release on Tuesday, January 28 at 9:00 am PT (5:00 pm GMT).
The new content will be added through an update and the season should last around eight weeks, with a major update dropping in the middle to add all the content for the second half.
Roadmap
Here is the roadmap for Season 2, briefly listing all the major additions for both games in an infographic format:
New weapons
The season brings a total of four weapons to the game and here is the complete list:
- PPSh-41 (SMG): Available at launch through the battle pass.
- Cypher 091 (Assault Rifle): Available at launch through the battle pass.
- Feng 82 (LMG): Available at launch through the battle pass.
- TR2 (Marksman Rifle): Available as a reward for an upcoming event.
The Call of Duty blog also teases that a few new melee weapons will be added when Season 2 reloaded drops along with a "rip-roaring projectile armament," but we still don't know what this could be.
New perks
The create-a-class menu will expand a bit with the addition of the following two perks:
- Reactive Armor (Available at launch, slot 2): Your armor will regenerate up to 50% if you haven’t taken damage in the last 5 seconds.
- Low Profile (Available at the mid-season, slot 1): You are able to move more quickly while crouched and prone. Move slightly faster when downed.
Quality-of-life improvements
Here are all the quality-of-life changes coming to the game as a part of the efforts to improve the game's experience:
- Weapon reload and swap speeds, jump mechanics, parachute transitions, and audio clarity have been fine-tuned to bring Battle Royale closer to our intended experience.
- Being able to ping buy back flares and improvements to the stat tracker font for better legibility.
- Regarding Ranked Play, players will see a refinement to the amount of SR required and adjustments to deployment fees.
- Important bug fixes that target issues with map visibility, weapon interaction, and several perks.
Other details
Here are other minor details about this new season so you don't miss out on anything:
