BC Leaves Evil Geniuses

Brandon "BC" Carr has unexpectedly departed Evil Geniuses, forcing Necrox back into the lineup.

Since joining the Evil Geniuses roster at the beginning of Season 5, BC has been seen as one of the best support players in North America, aiding his team to reach the grand finals of both the Six Invitationals and the Paris Major before losing to G2 on both occasions. Now, 16 months after joining the team, BC has left “in order to pursue a non-player role with another organization.”

This news follows a series of huge changes on the Evil Geniuses roster over the last few weeks which saw Necrox leave his role as a player to replace BKN, their long time coach, with geoometics replacing him on the roster. Now, with the departure of BC, EG will play with the roster of Canadian, Yung, Necrox, geoo, and nvK for the foreseeable future with nobody in the coaching role.

Evil Geniuses sits currently in second position in Pro League following recent victories over Spacestation and Rogue, and so are in place to qualify for the Pro League finals in Rio this November. However, as they sit just 3 points ahead of third and fourth position with a game against the league leaders of SK yet to come, this definitely is not a secure position.

The current Pro League standings for North America.

Evil Geniuses' next game is against Noble Esports on Monday when Pro League resumes for the tenth playday!
