Believe it or not, Season 2025 Act 5 of Valorant will begin in a few days. Although Act 4 didn't feature as many updates as usual, mostly because of the developers' summer break and the UE5 migration, a new act will kick off soon to add more new content.
Riot has already revealed some details about the upcoming act. While we wait for more announcements on what's to come, here is everything we know.
When does Valorant Season 2025 Act 5 start?
Season 2025 Act 5 of Valorant is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 20th, for all regions. Start time may vary, but we expect the new act to go live around 6:00 AM PT (2:00 PM BST).
A new act usually starts once the respective patch's rollout is complete across all regions. Just like previous acts from this year, we expect Act 5 to stay active for at least two months or eight weeks before moving on to the next one.
What do we know about the new season?
Given that Corrode launched in Act 4, we can guarantee that Act 5 won't have any new maps for the standard mode. Likewise, no new agents are expected to arrive with this act, since we haven't received teasers of any kind.
As announced on the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, the new Act will bring a change in the Competitive map pool, with Abyss being added to replace Icebox. This is the first time in months that Abyss makes a return to the pool.
Given this change, we can expect some changes to this map to improve its competitiveness, as that is a usual practice for Riot.
On top of that, a new major bundle with several cosmetics, variants, special VFXs, and more is expected to arrive in the shop. After all, the major bundles usually arrive when a new act begins, giving players more ways to customize their loadouts.
Once Riot reveals more information about Act 5, we will update this article to add all the missing information, so you can have everything in one place.
