An hour after Team BDS reached the Six Major, and four days after Wolves qualified for the 2023 Six Invitational, Wolves Esports have become the ninth team to qualify for the Six Jönköping Major.
This comes as Wolves beat last-placed TT9 Esports, which puts them on 19 points with a 6-0-1-1 record. This puts them four points clear of NAVI and Heroic in fifth and sixth place with just one game remaining, thereby locking them into a top-four finish.
The Jönköping Major will be the Wolves' roster's fourth Six Major in a row, having finished the Sweden and Charlotte Majors in 9-12th place and the Berlin Major in the quarter-finals.
They will now travel to Sweden once more, where they will meet Team BDS from Europe, TSM FTX, Soniqs, Spacestation Gaming, and Mirage from NA, and CAG, SANDBOX Gaming, and Dire Wolves from APAC.
The final two European League teams which will attend will be between Rogue, MNM, NAVI, and Heroic, with the former two rosters having the advantage going into the final play day.
As for Wolves, they still have a fight for first place on their hands. They will need a win versus NAVI next Monday to ensure they take Europe's first seed and win their second EUL stage in a row.
Previously, no roster has ever won back-to-back EUL stages, making this a notable accolade for Wolves to aim for.
