Announced at COD Next 2024, the map Verdansk is finally making a return to Warzone. This has been in the rumor mill for months, even years, but has never been acknowledged by any official source until now.

The announcement was brief, with Activision only releasing the following video with the map's outline on social media:

It was mentioned that Verdansk will be added to the game in Spring 2025, meaning the map could arrive sometime between March and June of next year.

One of the most recent rumors stated that the original plan was to add the map in Season 2 of Black Ops 6, however, it appears Raven Software is a little bit behind on the development.

As a result, all signs point to a release between Season 2 and Season 3. Players won't have to wait that long for a new map to arrive in the game, as Area 99 will be the first map to arrive during the Black Ops 6 cycle.

This will be a Resurgence map that will take inspiration from the classic Nuketown map that debuted with the original Black Ops back in 2010.

Now that COD Next 2024 is over and with the Black Ops 6 beta starting soon, head out to this article to learn all about the upcoming test period to prepare accordingly.
