All the new content will be added to the game a day before with the release of update 9.08, so expect the patch notes to arrive on Tuesday, October 22.
What can we expect from the new act?
Given that Abyss and Vyse were introduced in recent seasons, we don't expect a new map or agent to arrive this time. if that's the case, there is room for other types of additions like a new weapon.
However, some elements are never missing when a new season starts, like a battle pass full of cosmetics rewards or a bundle with plenty of customization options for the store.
Riot did announce that patch 9.08 will bring a few changes to the current competitive map pool. In this case, Icebox and Lotus are set to rotate out while Pearl and Split will take their place.
