Team Liquid have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Manchester after defeating Fluxo in Brazil's Last Chance Qualifiers grand final. Both teams had struggled in the Brazil League 2024 Stage 1 regular phase, where they finished in eighth and tenth place, respectively.
Despite the teams' slow start to the season, both rosters managed to solve their issues before the Last Chance Qualifiers. While Team Liquid defeated MIBR and w7m esports to reach the grand finals, Fluxo defeated Keyd Stars and Black Dragons.
While the series only saw two maps being played, both games were decided by minimal details. The Blue Cavalry began on the right foot with a tough 7-5 win on Oregon, a win that was followed by a maximum overtime victory on Bank.
Eventually, Team Liquid closed the series thanks to André "NESKWGA" Oliveira's four kills in the last round of Bank. With this result, the Brazilians reached the BLAST R6 Major Manchester after finishing Brazil's group phase in eighth place with two regulation wins and five defeats. As the Blue Cavalry qualified through the Last Chance Qualifiers, the roster will start its adventure in Manchester from the tournament's Phase 2.
It's also worth mentioning that Team Liquid became the third roster from outside Brazil's Top 6 to qualify for a BLAST R6 Major after Ninjas in Pyjamas (Copenhagen) and LOS (Atlanta).
