Team Liquid and w7m esports have qualified for Rainbow Six Siege's Esports World Cup semi-finals after defeating DarkZero Esports and Bleed Esports, respectively.
The Bulls were the first to clinch a semi-final spot following two one-sided victories on Consulate (7-3) and Skyscraper (7-1). With this result, the Brazilians redeemed themselves as the Asian-majority roster knocked them out of the Six Invitational 2024 back when they represented LOS.
Shortly after, Team Liquid joined their fellows as they didn't have it so easy against DarkZero Esports. The Brazilians' maximum overtime victory on Consulate was followed by a 4-7 defeat on Kafe Dostoyevsky. Finally, the Blue Cavalry knocked out the Americans of the Esports World Cup after a 7-3 victory on Clubhouse.
With Team Liquid and w7m esports moving to the semi-finals, it's now up to FURIA Esports and FaZe Clan to create an international version in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, of the already-extinct Copa Elite Six. However, for that to happen, the Six Invitational 2024 champions have to defeat Spacestation Gaming, while FaZe Clan must eliminate the back-to-back Gamers8 winners Team BDS.
