Sentinels have knocked out Gen.G Esports of the Valorant Champions Seoul after a one-sided series that saw the Americans taking Lotus (13-9) and Icebox (13-6).

The result was exactly the opposite of what we saw in the first day of action, where the South Koreans only needed two maps to defeat the VCT Masters Madrid champions. Therefore, today's result is Sentinels' redemption against the golden roster.

Both maps followed similar scripts as the Americans started Lotus and Icebox with advantages of 5-0 and 5-1, respectively. Then, the South Koreans would react and match Sentinels' pace, with Gen.G Esports managing to swap sides only two rounds behind their opponents in both maps.

However, things would just fall apart for Gen.G Esports in the second half of both maps. Both maps saw Sentinels starting the second half winning four consecutive rounds, extending the gap to a 5-11 lead. Eventually, despite Gen.G Esports' efforts of coming back, the Americans couldn't be stopped and clinched Group B's remaining playoff spot.

Unfortunately for the South Korean squad, this result means that their Valorant Champions debut has reached an end. Meanwhile, Sentinels are still alive and have already improved their best Valorant Champions result, which was a Top 12 finish in 2021.
