Update: The Rebirth Island trailer dropped, you can watch it below:

Fans of the original Warzone experience who have fond memories of Rebirth Island will be happy to hear the map is returning to Warzone on April 3.

Earlier today, the Call of Duty team announced that Rebirth Island is returning to the battle royale, adding that a trailer showcasing this new version of the beloved map will drop on March 26.

The CoD Twitter account also revealed an image featuring the Rebirth Island POIs that include known and classic locations like the chemical engineering and bioweapons labs, the prison in the middle of the map, the stronghold, docks, and more.

On top of that, players who respond to a tweet in their account can actually get a free Caked Up weapon blueprint for free come launch day.

Rebirth Island was first introduced with the original Warzone in 2020. It offers a more chaotic, fast-paced battle royale experience than Verdansk, as the map is significantly smaller, and there are automatic respawns when playing in teams.

Sadly, Rebirth Island was removed from the game in late 2022 as Warzone transitioned into a new era with the launch of Modern Warfare II, turning into Warzone 2.0. With Modern Warfare 3 kicking off a new slew of seasons within Warzone, season 3 is fast approaching, and it's clear Rebirth Island will be a highlight of it.

Season 2 saw the return of Fortune's Keep as well, so it seems that the Warzone developers are slowly but surely bringing back content and maps fans have been clamoring to make a comeback for years, which lets us question: when's Verdansk's turn? Only time will tell.
