Player Commendation System to be introduced to Siege with Operation Heavy Mettle

Player Commendation System is one of the new features included with Operation Heavy Mettle.

Ubisoft is introducing quality-of-life changes with Operation Heavy Mettle, including a brand-new Player Commendation System and a small tweak to the Player Reputation System.

What is Siege’s Player Commendation System?

Rainbow Six Siege’s Player Commendation System is a concept designed by Ubisoft that allows players to rate teammates based on their behavior throughout the match.

As announced during Operation Heavy Mettle’s full reveal, each player will have two Teammate Commendations to handle during every Rainbow Six Siege match.

Rainbow Six Siege’s Player Commendation System will allow the players to give commendations based on the following categories:

  • Valor: Positive player, who keeps calm regardless of the situation.
  • Dedication: Engages with teammates, constantly active during the game.
  • Guidance: Knowledge of the game, leadership, and proper communication.
  • Worthy Opponent: Can only be given to opponents.

All players will be able to distribute their Player Commendation points at the end of the match. By engaging with the Player Commendation System, you’ll be rewarded with Alpha Packs!

Rainbow Six Siege’s Player Commendation System is Ubisoft’s new system to encourage good behavior on the server. Combined with the Player Reputation System, Ubisoft expects the toxicity levels to drop slightly.

Player Reputation System Update

Throughout Operation Dread Factor, many players complained about not knowing why they couldn’t reach the highest tier of the Player Reputation System.

With Operation Heavy Mettle, Ubisoft is introducing a tab called “Misconduct” that allows players to know what penalties have they collected throughout the season.

The penalties are divided into the following categories:

  • Abandons: Leaving the game before its conclusion.
  • Friendly Fire: Attacking your teammates.
  • Voice Abuse: Being toxic using your microphone.
  • Text Abuse: Being toxic using the game’s chat.
  • Griefing: Wrong player behavior, destroying teammate gadgets.

With this update, Ubisoft expects to make Player Reputation System a bit more clear for players.
