Rainbow Six Siege’s journey from Canada to hundreds of places around the world has been tough. In February, São Paulo will be Siege’s capital city for two weeks as the best twenty teams in the world will meet for a chance to lift the sledgehammer.
However, it won’t be the first try for the majority of them. While we will have tenths of Six Invitational debutants in Brazil, most of the players in the competition have played multiple editions of Siege’s most important tournament of the year.
Note: The data used in this article doesn’t include the Six Invitational 2017 played on XBOX One.
How many players have played at least one edition of the Six Invitational?
Before answering the question, it’s important to make a distinction between played and qualified. Unfortunately, due to problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, both Virtus.pro and Wildcard Gaming’s rosters couldn’t compete at the Six Invitational 2021 despite qualifying for the main event. As the players didn’t play a single match of the Six Invitational 2021, we haven’t added their names to the list.
In total, 269 players have at least played one Six Invitational match. However, more than half of the list includes names of professionals who have played less than ten Six Invitational matches.
Here’s how the list is divided:
- 10+ Six Invitational matches: 112 players
- 20+ Six Invitational matches: 54 players
- 30+ Six Invitational matches: 24 players
- 35+ Six Invitational matches: 10 players
- 40 Six Invitational matches: 2 players
If we were to count those eight players who couldn’t compete in 2021 and didn’t play in any of the two following editions, the list would go up to 277 players.
Moreover, if we were also to count players who competed in 2017’s XBOX One Six Invitational, the list would go up to 295 players.
Who has played the most matches at the Six Invitational?
Julio “JULIO” Giacomelli and Emilio “Geometrics” Léynez are the players with the most appearances at the Six Invitational, with 40 matches. Despite the draw between both players, the Brazilian is on top as he has played two more maps than the Mexican – 89 to 87.
Unfortunately for Julio, he will lose his first place as the Brazilian won't compete as a player in São Paulo. After losing the Six Invitational 2023 grand final, the 2021 world champion announced his retirement as he moved to MNM Gaming's coaching team. Now, the Brazilian finds himself without a team.
He's not the only player who will be overtaken by the players who compete at the Six Invitational 2024, as José "bullet1" Victor, Leonardo "Astro" Luis, Alexander "Skys" Magor, and Davide "FoxA" Bucci didn't qualify either.
With André "NESKWGA" Oliveira (38) and Luccas "Paluh" Molina (35) being so close to the top, the Team Liquid duo is likely to sneak into the Top 5 by the end of the Six Invitational 2024.
Meanwhile, the only player to have competed in every PC Six Invitational to date, Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski's name, can be found in third place with 39 played matches, leaving him as the current third-most-capped player in the history of the Six Invitational. Alongside Geometrics, he's the favorite to top the list by the end of the Six Invitational 2024.
Following his 12-match run at the Six Invitational 2023, Jake "Virtue" Grannan became the most capped player from APAC in the history of the Six Invitational. He's the only Australian player with over 30 appearances, as he's one of the seven players with 31 Six Invitational matches.
Who has played the most maps at the Six Invitational?
It doesn't come as a surprise: Canadian is the player with the most Six Invitational maps played.
After the conclusion of Day 2 of the Six Invitational 2024, the DarkZero Esports player will become the first professional to reach 100 maps played at the Six Invitational. Realistically, Geometrics could become the second if Soniqs make it out of the initial group stage.
Unfortunately for the French fan base, the Team BDS trio of Olivier "Renshiro" Vandroux, Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu, and Bryan "Elemzje" Tebessi are likely to fall from the Top 20 as they won't play at the Six Invitational 2024.
Who has won the most maps at the Six Invitational?
Heading to the Six Invitational 2024, Geometrics is the player with the most map victories in the Six Invitational's history with 54 map wins. The Mexican is closely followed by Julio (53) and Canadian (52).
Surprisingly, the former TSM trio of Jason "Beaulo" Doty, Bryan "Merc" Wrzek, and Matthew "Achieved" Salomon can be found inside the Top 10. The North Americans have the highest map-win ratio, as they won 40 of the 62 maps they played at the Six Invitational. This means that they won 64,51% of the maps they played.
