Alliance have won the Apex Legends Esports World Cup after a thrilling seven-hour grand final. The grand final included thirteen maps as the match point-eligible teams couldn't secure the final map win needed to lift the trophy.

Heading to the final game of the day, up to twelve rosters were match-point eligible. This meant that if any of those teams won the last game, no matter the amount of points they had, they would automatically be crowned Esports World Cup champions and secure US$600,000.

Despite more than half of the teams being match-point eligible, only three made it to the end with the only exception being Blacklist International. If the European roster had won the thirteenth game, a fourteenth match would have been required. However, they ended up finishing in fourth place in Game 13 and 20th place on the overall standings.

Eventually, Luminosity Gaming, Team Liquid, and Alliance reached the game's top three, with the Europeans taking the win thanks to being better positioned on the map. Therefore, despite having two points less than Team Falcons, Alliance won the Esports World Cup, with the Australian-majority roster finishing in second and Luminosity Gaming finishing in third.

The next chance to see Alliance in action internationally and most of these teams will be in Mannheim, Germany, as they will compete in the ALGS 2024 Split 2 Playoffs. The tournament will be played from August 29 to September 1.
