Despite the South American lineup being the clear favorite to get the region's first spot in Shanghai, G2 Esports caused an upset after victories on Icebox (13-5) and Ascent (13-8).
Finally, 100 Thieves obtained Americas' second spot in Shanghai after defeating LOUD and Leviatán. The VCT Masters Shanghai will be 100 Thieves' first VCT Masters appearance since the team reached the semi-finals at the VCT 2021 Stage 1 Masters Berlin.
