According to a post from the official Rainbow Six Esports account, APAC representative Elevate will not be competing at the Charlotte Major.

Elevate were denied their visa application, and without enough time to make it to Mexico to play with Team oNe, FURIA, and w7m, have been disqualified from the tournament entirely.

Elevate fought their way to a top-12 position at SI 2022 -- and outplaced many teams that were colloquially thought to be stronger in the process.

Paramin "sprOnigiri" Suwanwattana spoke up about the situation on Twitter, praising Elevate management's efforts to get them to Charlotte.

The Major field is now cut to 15. "Elevate will receive the share of the total prize pool corresponding to a 13th to 16th ranking in the competition alongside 50 SI points. Our teams are currently working on reshaping the competitive format and schedules for 15 teams. More details will be shared soon," the announcement read.
