DRX have defeated KRÜ Esports in what was Group B's first match of the tournament. Despite eventually winning the series, the South Koreans were upset by the Latin American roster after a shocking 2-13 defeat on Haven. Two 13-6 victories on Abyss and Bind saw the white and blue roster clinching the team's first match win in Seoul.

Following today's victory, DRX have yet to lose a Valorant Champions opening match as they beat FURIA Esports and LOUD in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

On the opposite hand, KRÜ Esports have collected a fourth back-to-back Valorant Champions opening match defeat as they lost against Team Liquid, FunPlus Phoenix, and Paper Rex in previous editions.

DRX's next match in the competition will be against the winner of the series between Fnatic and Bilibili Gaming. Meanwhile, KRÜ Esports will play in the Elimination Match against the defeated side.
