Call of Duty will kick off the new year with the upcoming Squid Game collaboration, an event for Black Ops 6 and Warzone to promote the release of the show's second season on Netflix.
With only a few hours away before its arrival, we have gathered all the details announced so far for this collaboration so you can read about it and prepare accordingly.
Release date
The Call of Duty and Squid Game event will start on January 3 in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Judging by previous updates, we expect the content to be live at 9:00 am PT (5:00 pm GMT).
Teaser
A teaser trailer for this collaboration was revealed at the end of the fourth COD Podcast episode and here it is in case you haven't seen it:
Here is the event's official trailer where we can see some of the new additions coming in this collab:
New skins and cosmetics
Thanks to a leaked message, it seems the event will introduce a separate battle pass. It will have both a free and premium track, meaning some rewards will only be accessible to those who buy the premium pass.
The Squid Game collaboration will bring new operator skins that look exactly like the guards from the show, wearing the distinctive red outfits with black masks.
Judging from the image, we will see more than one skin variation. It is unclear if the event will add any new operators or if all the skins are for currently available operators.
These won't be the only new cosmetics as weapon blueprints, emotes, and more will also be added.
Game modes
The Call of Duty blog indicated that the event will bring limited-time game modes to all three major modes (Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone).
Details on these modes haven't been revealed so we will have to wait until we are closer to its release to know more about them.
