With the release of Black Ops 6, we saw a plethora of new weapons being added, goes without saying that some fan favorites made a return too. C9 (otherwise known as MP5) falls in the latter category. Boasting a decent fire rate with great kill time, this SMG is the first one players unlock in Black Ops 6.
Ironically, it’s also one of the most powerful weapons in the game right now. If C9 falls into the list of your preferred weapons to use in the game, read on to learn more about a detailed gun build for the loadout.
Best C9 Loadout in Black Ops 6
- Muzzle: Ported Compensator/Suppressor
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Magazine: Extended Mag 1
- Stock: No Stock
- Fire Mods: Rapid Fire
Details of the C9 Build
As seen above, this build comprises all the attachment slots in the game. We’ll break down what each of them does below.
Talking about the Ported Compensator, it encourages recoil-control for both First-Shot and Vertical Recoil. This means that the minute you fire a bullet, you won’t feel that much of a flinch—you can control the weapon efficiently. Vertical Recoil is related to your aim moving above the target when you fire consistently, this attachment reduces it.
The paragraph above holds for players who like to play aggressively. For gamers who prefer a laid-back approach with SMGs, Suppressor is the go-to as it offers more stealth without compromising on any other attributes of the weapon.
With the Reinforced Barrel, the Bullet Velocity gets a 30% buff. However, there’s a significant decrease in the Recoil Gun Kick and the Vertical Recoil Control. And while you can enjoy a greater magazine size with Extended Mags 1, it discourages the Reload Quickness and Empty Reload Quickness by an (almost) equal factor.
With the No Stock, players enjoy greater mobility. In particular, Movement Speed and Crouch Movement Speed, where we see a 16 and 26-percent increase respectively.
The last attachment to equip here is the Rapid Fire. While it increases the Fire Rate by 6%, there’s a significant detriment seen in Accuracy and Bullet Velocity.
The C9 SMG: An Absolute Powerhouse
As seen above, the attachments mainly focus on the weapon’s Firepower and Mobility, while sacrificing Accuracy and Handling. In all honesty, SMGs are fundamentally meant for close encounters, so if the Accuracy and Handling do suffer slightly, the former two categories (if strong) do the heavy lifting.
All in all, here’s how the build looks after equipping all the attachments:
- Fire Rate: 6% increase.
- Bullet Velocity: 17% increase.
- Recoil Gun Kick: 2% decrease.
- Movement Speed: 16% increase.
- Reload Quickness: 14% decrease.
- Crouch Movement Speed: 26% increase.
- Horizontal Recoil Control: 25% decrease.
- Empty Reload Quickness: 13% decrease.
