The Esports World Cup official account unveiled Apex Legends as the new title to join this year's edition, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Formerly known as Gamers8, the Esports World Cup is an ambitious project that aims at giving fans a world championship in multiple esports competitions. As of now, various shooters have been confirmed, including Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, CS2, Overwatch, and PUBG.
Unfortunately, no information has been revealed regarding the tournament's format and its competitors. However, we expect high-caliber rosters to be invited.
The announcement comes three weeks before the beggining of the Apex Legends Global Series 2024 Split 1 Playoffs, a USD$1M tournament where the 40-best teams in the world will compete to win the first international major competition of the year.
