Operators are Rainbow Six Siege’s identity. Everyone has their own special background, which usually connects them not only with known operators but also with upcoming operators. Operators all have their own abilities as well, from breaking down walls to locating enemies.
They are the faces of the game. Here’s all the information on how to unlock them in order to use them in the game.
What are operators in Rainbow Six Siege?
Operators are the in-game characters that players can use in Rainbow Six Siege. Every character has its own set of weapons and utility, which are added to a unique operator ability that usually defines its role in the game.
How many operators are in Rainbow Six Siege?
Rainbow Six Siege currently has 61 operators available, although with the introduction of the upcoming season High Calibre the list will expand to 62. The operator pool is then divided into 31 defenders and 31 attackers.
How do you unlock new operators in Rainbow Six Siege?
Operators can be unlocked with renown or with R6 credits. In order to unlock operators, you must head to Operators. There, two categories will pop up, Attackers and Defenders. Once you select one, you will see a list with every operator available. The ones in color are those that are already unlocked, while the ones in grey are those that are still to be unlocked.
If you place your cursor on one of the locked operators, you will see how much it costs to unlock it.
Does every operator in R6 cost the same?
No.
Each operator has a different price depending on when these were first released. This means that Year 1 operators will be way cheaper than the most recent ones introduced in the game.
