Before the regional leagues were individually codified back in the days of ESL’s Pro League, there were competitions called GO4s.
GO4s were held every Sunday in every major region, on every platform. They were meant as simple day tournaments, with makeshift teams playing with full competitive rulesets. Competitive professionals would play with their friends and up-and-coming teams would use them as practice.
Ultimately, GO4s were a great way for players interested in competitive play to dip their proverbial toes in the water and see how they liked it. They were risk-free advertisements for competitive play, recurring every week at the same time.
Open Series is the new name for the weekly tournaments now that FACEIT has taken over operations from ESL.
Here’s how to sign up for the FACEIT Open Siege Series.
If you live in Europe, you can sign up at this link.
If you live in North America, you can sign up at this link.
You will be required to run MOSS during the competition, as well as abide by all competitive rules: No cheesy Wind Bastion or Ember Rise skins, operator quarantine for the current season, etc.
You must also be 18 years of age to participate. Any and all collusion, which falls under the umbrella of match fixing, is inexcusable and will result in an immediate disqualification provided the evidence is strong enough.
If you’d like to broadcast the tournament, you need to have an agreement with a FACEIT admin in place 24 hours before the tournament is set to begin.
