Just two days after the end of the Jönköping Major, Mirage has parted ways with both its head coach, Cristian "Guerra" Guerra, and assistant coach Zachary "Nyx" Thomas. Both were not deemed as a "good fit" for the team and reached an agreement with the organization to part ways mutually, according to Guerra himself.

The moves follows what was Mirage's best-ever NAL stage in one-and-a-half years, where the team finished in fourth place and qualified for the Jönköping Major. Prior to this, Mirage had only managed a third place finish in Stage 1 of the 2021 season, but had not been able to attend a Six Major due to the Six Invitational 2021's postponement to May.

In between the two top four finishes, Mirage had finished in seventh, sixth, 10th, and 10th place in the NAL.

While the team finished in the top four in the NAL, it only managed a four-point haul at the Jönköping Major. As such, it finished last in Group D, behind Dire Wolves and the quarter-finalists of FaZe Clan and Wolves Esports.

Mirage are likely eyeing a strong run in the Six Invitiational 2023 qualifier with these early changes. The move is likely to give time to their new coaches to impress their own ideologies upon the team in preparation for the qualifier and the 2023 season itself.
