Into the Breach have been knocked out of the BLAST R6 Major Manchester after today's defeat against Beastcoast. Before today's loss against the North American side, the British-majority roster had fallen against Bleed Esports and M80.
Unfortunately for the Europeans, Beastcoast quickly got full control of the series with a quick 7-2 victory on Nighthaven Labs. Eventually, Beastcoast's 4-2 half on attack on Bank was proven to be enough as they won map two by a score of 7-5.
The former Soniqs player Shaun "Gunnar" Pottorff was the best player of the series with a SiegeGG rating of 1.54 and a K-D of 26-10 (+16). Meanwhile, the former DarkZero Esports player Gaven "Gaveni" Black averaged a rating of 1.38 and K-D of 21-13 (+8).
Thanks to this result, Beastcoast, who previously defeated CAG Osaka and pushed the Six Invitational 2024 grand finalists FaZe Clan to maximum overtime on Skyscraper, will play tomorrow in what will be their last chance to make it to Manchester's Top 8.
While Into the Breach have already been eliminated from the first Major of the calendar, the players will avoid the 15th and 16th positions thanks to their victory against Spacestation Gaming on May 19 — which means they will add 65 SI Points to the 95 SI Points obtained in the Europe League 2024 Stage 1.
