Fortnite, as with many other live-service games, is no stranger to Twitch Drops. This is a rewards program where players can unlock special items or cosmetics in the game just by watching their favorite streamer play the respective game.
With Chapter 6 Season 4 starting soon, a new set of rewards has been announced. We have all the details on this new drops campaign, so you can hop on Twitch, watch, and earn some freebies.
How to earn Twitch Drops rewards in Fortnite
Players simply need to watch a streamer playing Fortnite for a certain amount of time to unlock the rewards if a drops campaign is underway. However, you will need to link your Epic Games account with your Twitch account to receive those freebies.
If you haven't done it, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Head over to the Connections page of your Epic Games account using this link.
- The page will ask you to sign in using your Epic Games account. Make sure it's the same one you use to play Fortnite.
- Scroll down until you see the Twitch option and hit the "Link" button.
- You will then have to sign in to your Twitch account, and once that's done, you will be set to get some rewards.
Twitch Drops available
The current Twitch Drops campaign will run from August 7 at 6:00 AM PT (2:00 PM BST) through August 10 at 9:00 PM PT (August 11 at 3:00 AM BST). The campaign will offer three rewards to kick off Chapter 6 Season 4, and you can see them below, along with the watchtime required for each one:
- Watch for 30 minutes - Metal Menace Wrap
- Watch for 1 hour - Tome of Skulls Back Bling
- Watch for 1 hour and 30 minutes - Skeletal Cyberscythe Pickaxe
